Data Deletion Request

At SmartEcomETL, you are in full control of your data. You can request deletion of your data at any time using the methods described below.
What You Can Delete
Disconnect a Single Platform
You can disconnect any individual platform (e.g., Shopify, Meta, Google) through your SmartEcomETL dashboard at any time. When you disconnect a platform:
- We immediately stop syncing new data from that platform
- The OAuth authorization between SmartEcomETL and that platform is revoked
- Existing synced data from that platform is deleted within 7 days
Delete All Data
You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This includes:
- Your account information (name, email)
- All synced data from all connected platforms
- Your private database schema and all tables within it
- All connection configurations and sync history
- AI query history
How to Request Deletion
Option 1: Through the Dashboard
Log in to your SmartEcomETL account, go to Settings, and use the "Delete Account" option. This initiates immediate deletion of all your data.
Option 2: By Email
Send a deletion request to Privacy@ETL.SmartEcomSEO.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.
Deletion Timeline
- Single platform disconnect: Data deleted within 7 days
- Full account deletion: All data permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backups: Data in encrypted backups is automatically purged as backups rotate (within 14 days)
What We Cannot Delete
We cannot delete data that has already been exported by you to third-party tools (e.g., Looker Studio, downloaded CSV files). You are responsible for deleting exported data from those tools separately.
We may retain minimal records (account email and deletion date) where required by law or to prevent fraud.
Facebook and Instagram Data
If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account through SmartEcomETL and wish to delete the data we received from Meta, you can:
- Disconnect the platform through your SmartEcomETL dashboard
- Remove SmartEcomETL from your Facebook App Settings at facebook.com/settings
- Email us at Privacy@ETL.SmartEcomSEO.com
We will delete all Facebook and Instagram data associated with your account within 7 days of the request.
Confirmation
After your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation email to the email address on file. If you have any questions about data deletion, contact us at Privacy@ETL.SmartEcomSEO.com.
