ZF Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Delaware limited liability company, operates SmartEcomETL ("the Service") at etl.smartecomseo.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company name. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.

Third-Party Platform Data

When you connect a third-party account through the Service, we access and store data from those platforms on your behalf. This includes but is not limited to:

• Ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central): orders, products, customers, inventory, settlements
• Advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, X Ads, Reddit Ads, Snapchat Ads, LinkedIn Ads): campaign data, ad performance metrics, spend data, conversion data
• Social media platforms (Instagram Business, Facebook Pages, TikTok Business, YouTube, X/Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn Pages, Snapchat): posts, engagement metrics, follower analytics, content performance
• Analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools): website traffic, search queries, page performance, user behavior data
• Email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo): campaign metrics, flow performance, subscriber profiles, engagement events

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, and queries made to our AI assistant.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Sync data from your connected platforms to your private data warehouse
• Enable AI-powered analysis of your data through our Claude integration
• Display dashboards and reports based on your data
• Allow you to export or connect your data to third-party tools you choose (such as Looker Studio)
• Send service-related communications (sync failures, account notifications)
• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your data. We do not use your business data to train AI models. Your data is used solely to provide the Service to you.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Hetzner Cloud, Germany). Each client account has a dedicated, isolated database schema — your data is never mixed with other clients' data.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS for all connections)
• Hashed passwords (bcrypt)
• Private network isolation for database access
• Firewall-restricted server access
• OAuth tokens stored securely and refreshed automatically

4. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

SmartEcomETL's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only access Google data that you explicitly authorize through the OAuth consent process
• Google data is used solely to provide and improve the Service for you
• We do not transfer Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law
• We do not use Google data for advertising or to serve ads
• We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law

5. Meta Platform Data

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram accounts, we access data in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms. We only access data necessary to provide analytics and reporting through the Service. You can revoke access at any time through your Meta account settings or through the SmartEcomETL dashboard.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or business data to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• At your direction — when you choose to connect your data to third-party tools like Looker Studio or other analytics platforms
• AI processing— when you use the Claude AI assistant feature, your query and relevant data context are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Anthropic does not use this data for model training under their commercial API terms.
• Infrastructure providers — our hosting provider (Hetzner) provides the servers where your data is stored but does not access your data
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process

7. Data Retention

We retain your synced data for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect a data source, we stop syncing new data but retain existing data unless you request deletion. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we store about you
• Disconnect any connected platform at any time
• Request deletion of your data (see our Data Deletion page)
• Export your data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for data processing

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically session cookies to keep you logged in and CSRF protection cookies during OAuth flows. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
